ABOUT DES EARTH OBSERVATION INDUSTRY DAY

The first conference Direction Earth/Space – Earth Observation Industry Day was held on 20th of September 2023

A day filled with inspiring meetings where we explored the business potential of utilizing Earth Observation (EO) data.

The possibilities of using EO data are extensive, spanning various fields, from science and technology to business and education, and even culture and art. Today, EO data already serve as the foundation for many cutting-edge technologies, and the potential for their use in creating innovative solutions is enormous – and continues to grow. During the event, we took a closer look at the business potential of utilizing Earth Observation data. The meeting also provided an excellent opportunity for networking with entrepreneurs from Lublin and discussing their involvement in the development of the space sector. The chances for this have clearly increased as Poland has significantly increased its contribution to ESA, guaranteeing nearly 300 million EUR. Polish companies and R&D institutes will benefit from these funds over the next three years.
